Zuber Indian 2 Drawer Desk
The Zuber Indian 2 Drawer Desk is a vintage solid teak writing desk salvaged from Rajasthan, made over 70 years ago and polished in a natural wax. It measures 121cm wide with two drawers. The design shows hints of British Colonial influence.

This is a genuinely old piece rather than a reproduction, which changes what you are buying. It was made in Rajasthan more than seventy years ago and may well have come out of a local schoolhouse, so the wear on it is the record of decades of actual use.
The natural wax polish is a light touch, warming the teak without sealing over the marks and giving it a soft sheen rather than a lacquered shine. At 121 x 76cm it works as a proper writing desk, and the two drawers take the things that would otherwise sit on top. It also does well as an entryway console, where the drawers hide keys and post. Being a salvaged piece, expect marks, minor repairs and irregularity to be part of it.

White glove delivery
Our two-person team carries your piece into the room of your choice, unpacks it, assembles it where needed and takes the packaging away.
Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
